Summertime and the living is not easy for many families Hunger never takes a break. Every month over 500 families come to CCAP for food.
With the high cost of housing, utilities and now gas prices that are above $3.00 a gallon many families are facing a financial crisis. Choosing to put food on the table or gas in the car in not easy. Our food bank has become the safety net for families.
CCAP's Food Bank is seeing more and more families. Last year we provided emergency food to over 2,400 people from almost 1,000 families. CCAP's Food Bank is the City's largest distributor of emergency food to area's residents. For the 1,000 families who come to us for food we are the place to turn in times of need.

You can help Right now we are able to meet the demand for food. Our shelves are well stocked due to generous donations from our friends, neighbors and local businesses. But you can help by making a donation of food. We are always in need of protein and other non- perishable foods. Because we are a local food bank, food donated today will be on a family's table tomorrow.
If you prefer you can make a cash donation. Our 100% Guarantee assures you that all money is used to purchase food. No money is ever used for administration, maintenance or fund raising. If you would like to donate to the CCAP Food Bank, give us a call at 467-9610.
More than a bag of food CCAP offers people more than a bag of food. Families that come to us for food have access to a full range of services including our energy assistance programs, Head Start, affordable child care, health care at one of our three community based centers and soon dental care. CCAP helps families get their lives back on track. |
